Just watched him a week or so ago in The Indian Runner, one of my favorites. He plays a recent widower. After watching home movies, he calls his son in the middle of the night to tell him he'd noticed the edge of his carpet needs to be tacked down--someone may trip on it. He hangs up, then goes and blows his brains out. Great, sad movie.
I think you rented that video in Cortland. Damn, I remember when that movie was new. Now it's like 16 years old. Suddenly I feel like blowing my brains out.
