A 115-year old Dutch woman finally succumbed to a lifelong addiction to herring, a gross-tasting fish that is particularly vile when pickled. Frankly, I'm surprised she lasted as long as she did.
“Mrs. Van Andel-Schipper passed away peacefully,” ANP quoted the director of the nursing home as saying. “She told me that she thought it was great to have been the world’s oldest person and that she never had to smell like fish again.”
